Quality standard
What we check before releasing a template.
Every template — Low, Med, or High — passes this checklist before it enters the store. The standard does not change with the tier; only the scope does.
Three layers of review
-
Builder self-check
The person building the template runs the full checklist independently before submitting for review. Tools-based where possible (build output, contrast checker, link scan), manual where not.
-
Studio QC
A second pass by the studio — different eyes, same checklist. Any item that was missed or borderline in layer one is flagged and resolved before moving on.
-
Independent trained QC
A trained QC reviewer, separate from the builder, runs automated browser tests across all pages, five viewport widths, and both color modes. This layer catches what the builder cannot catch reviewing their own work.
What is tested
5 viewport widths × 2 color modes
Every page is reviewed at 320, 768, 1024, 1280, and 1920 px in both light and dark mode. Zero horizontal scroll at any width. Labels, buttons, and badges do not wrap or truncate.
Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element is reachable by Tab in a logical order. No keyboard traps. Focus is always visible. Custom key handlers do not override browser defaults without good reason.
Contrast ≥ 4.5:1
Body text contrast is measured in both light and dark mode against background and surface tokens. Every colour pair used for readable text must pass WCAG AA (4.5:1 normal, 3:1 large text).
Console clean
Zero errors and zero warnings in the browser console at first load, at scroll, and after all JS interactions. Errors are fixed — not suppressed.
All links resolve
Every internal link returns 200. No anchors point to missing fragments. No external placeholder domains. Mailto links use a real address.
Performance
Total page weight ≤ 300 KB. Total JavaScript ≤ 30 KB. All assets are local — no CDN calls, no Google Fonts, no external image sources. Images are WebP or SVG, sized correctly.
Reduced motion
Every animated element has a prefers-reduced-motion fallback. When the system preference is set to reduce, content appears immediately without animation — it does not disappear.
Security headers
The deployment package ships a _headers file pre-configured for Cloudflare Pages: strict CSP with no external sources, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy, Permissions-Policy, and X-Frame-Options DENY.
A note on production
Production is assisted by AI agents for speed and throughput, and every template is reviewed by trained QC before release. Every design decision, every QC result, and every release is owned by the studio, not a generator.
If a template has a known limitation, it is documented in the changelog before release. We do not ship known issues without disclosure.
